3D-Printed Product Safety & Use Disclaimer

1. Scope

This disclaimer applies to products manufactured using additive manufacturing or 3D-printing processes through TEMBRY.

Product-specific instructions, warnings, material information, and restrictions provided with a listing or product also apply and may supplement this disclaimer.

2. Nature of 3D-Printed Products

3D-printed products are generally manufactured layer by layer. Depending on the material, geometry, printer, orientation, process, finishing method, and other manufacturing variables, a finished product may show characteristics such as:

• visible layer lines;
• minor surface texture or seam marks;
• small variations in dimensions or appearance;
• support-removal or finishing marks;
• minor color or surface variation; or
• other normal characteristics of the manufacturing process.

Normal manufacturing variation is not necessarily a defect. Products that are damaged, materially defective, incorrect, or materially different from the ordered product are handled under TEMBRY's Refund, Cancellation & Returns Policy and applicable law.

3. Material Properties

Different printing materials have different mechanical, thermal, chemical, environmental, and durability characteristics.

Unless a product listing expressly states otherwise, customers should not assume that a product is suitable for high temperatures, open flame, prolonged outdoor exposure, harsh chemicals, heavy loads, repeated impact, or other demanding environments.

Follow any material-specific limitations or instructions supplied with the product.

4. Heat and Fire

Many common 3D-printing materials can soften, deform, weaken, melt, burn, or otherwise change when exposed to sufficient heat.

Do not expose a product to open flame, hot surfaces, heating appliances, vehicle interiors with extreme temperatures, or other high-heat conditions unless the product is expressly represented as suitable for that environment.

5. Sunlight, Weather, and Environment

Sunlight, ultraviolet exposure, moisture, temperature cycling, and weather may affect the color, dimensions, strength, or durability of some printed materials.

A product should not be assumed suitable for permanent outdoor use unless the listing specifically describes it as suitable for that purpose.

6. Mechanical Strength and Load-Bearing Use

The strength of a 3D-printed product can depend on its geometry, material, layer orientation, manufacturing settings, environmental conditions, age, and manner of use.

Unless expressly designed, tested, and represented for a particular load-bearing application, TEMBRY products should not be relied upon as structural supports, lifting devices, climbing equipment, fall-protection equipment, vehicle safety components, or other safety-critical load-bearing components.

7. Safety-Critical Applications

Ordinary TEMBRY products are not automatically engineered, tested, certified, or approved for safety-critical applications.

Unless a listing expressly states otherwise and the required standards have actually been satisfied, do not rely on an ordinary TEMBRY product as:

• a medical device;
• personal protective or life-safety equipment;
• a critical vehicle, aviation, or transportation component;
• a regulated structural component;
• certified electrical safety equipment; or
• another component whose failure could reasonably create a serious risk of death or severe bodily injury.

8. Food and Beverage Contact

A product should not be assumed safe or approved for direct food or beverage contact merely because the base printing material may have characteristics associated with food-contact applications.

Manufacturing processes, additives, pigments, surface texture, equipment, coatings, cleaning methods, and product design can affect suitability for food contact.

Do not use a TEMBRY product for food or beverage contact unless the specific product is expressly represented as suitable for that use and any applicable requirements have been satisfied.

9. Children and Small Parts

3D-printed products may contain small parts, detachable components, pointed features, or pieces that can break if damaged or misused.

Products are not toys or children's products merely because their appearance may appeal to children.

Unless a listing specifically states that a product is designed and appropriate for children, keep products containing small parts or other potential hazards away from young children.

10. Product Inspection

Inspect products before use and periodically during continued use when appropriate.

Stop using a product if it develops cracks, significant deformation, unusual wear, loose components, heat damage, or other deterioration that could make continued use unsafe.

11. Modification After Delivery

Drilling, cutting, heating, sanding, chemically treating, gluing, mechanically modifying, or otherwise altering a product after delivery may change its strength, dimensions, surface condition, or safety characteristics.

TEMBRY is not responsible for damage caused solely by improper customer modification, misuse, or use contrary to provided instructions, except to the extent responsibility cannot legally be excluded.

12. Custom Designs and Customer Specifications

Customization can affect fit, dimensions, strength, clearances, balance, assembly, and other product characteristics.

Customers are responsible for reviewing the customization choices presented for approval before placing an order.

TEMBRY remains responsible for manufacturing and fulfillment errors attributable to TEMBRY or its fulfillment process, subject to the applicable TEMBRY policies and law.

13. Creator Products

Products offered by creators may include creator-provided descriptions, specifications, instructions, and intended-use information.

Creators are responsible for providing accurate material safety, intended-use, warning, and product information where reasonably necessary.

TEMBRY may review or reject products that present unreasonable manufacturing, legal, or safety concerns, but platform review does not by itself constitute engineering certification or regulatory approval.

14. Product-Specific Information Controls

If a specific product includes instructions, warnings, tested specifications, or expressly stated capabilities, those product-specific statements should be followed for that product.

This general disclaimer should not be interpreted to contradict a more specific written product representation made by TEMBRY that expressly applies to the purchased product.

15. Reporting a Product Problem

If a product arrives damaged, defective, incorrect, or materially different from what was ordered, contact TEMBRY as soon as reasonably possible.

TEMBRY's current policy asks customers to report qualifying product problems within 14 days after delivery and provide the order information and reasonable evidence, such as photographs, when requested.

16. Applicable Consumer Rights

Nothing in this disclaimer excludes, restricts, or waives warranties, remedies, product-liability obligations, or other consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded or waived under applicable law.

17. Relationship to Other TEMBRY Policies

This disclaimer supplements the TEMBRY Terms of Service, Refund, Cancellation & Returns Policy, Acceptable Use & Prohibited Products Policy, and product-specific information provided with an order.

18. Changes to This Disclaimer

TEMBRY may update this disclaimer as supported materials, manufacturing processes, product categories, or applicable requirements change.

The "Last updated" date will be revised when this disclaimer is updated.
